there has been some negative talk around these parts that the navagation screen is the next driving distraction like the cell phone, reference the slashdot.com forum. Good to have the screen stealth.

i like the voice prompts, use them on the sportbike where the display is not usable.

the initial Software rev said "left turn next, 1.5 miles, turn left onto main street"
recently i updated the same software several revisions up. now it had fewer voice prompts, for example it would say only "turn left I.5 miles"
i went back to the previous revision.

Great job buddy - its good to see something new for a NAVI solution without having to build an all out custom dash display

Do you have any glare problems in daylight with the top down? I can only imagine the flat 180 degree angle to the sun would make the display pretty much un-readable unless you have a custom highbright model with a 600 nit display in terms of brightness....

For me I consider my cup holders absolutely essential so I would never give them up in any of my cars but good integration nevertheless.

This is an issue that gives a glare when the sun is on top, but I have fitted a screen protector film that eliminates the glare. It is a good added modification that I missed to mention.

What did you use for a screen protector? I've got a Garmin 340 mounted on my dash (lower left corner) that gets some glare...

Thanks!

I dont remember the brand. Just makes sure it is "polarised". Any screen protector with a tone of darkness will do.

i hear boxwave screen protectors will do anti-glare and make the screen readable if you're wearing polarized sunglasses.
