Install Pictures
Here's a couple photo's of my similar install. I used only existing holes by inserting nutserts in them. If anyone try's this: watch out for the trunk springs. I had to mount the amp as low as possible to avoid them. I could have used a hinge on the rack, but got lazy & just carry an allen wrench to remove the amp/rack if ever necessary. Looks could also be improved by hiding my wires better, but it wasn't that important to me.

NFR, the sub enclosure will be done tommorow, I am going out now to get some polyfill. Letting the enclosure dry over night.
The alpine amp is wonderful, nothing to complain about, i love the little lcd read out, that just does it for me!!! Other than that, it runs a little warmer than my Soundstream did, but nothing worth worrying about. Puts out more power than the soundstream does as well. Nice little amp, I would recommend it to anyone.
The Lotus Vs Alpha trials will begin this week. Im just about to sell my CDT's as well, and go with an all LOTUS set up, Lotus Sub and Lotus Reference Components. It sucks wasting money like this, should of just got the reference from the beginning, but I did not want to spend that much money, now I will pay even more.

Mark - I will be doing something like that. I will probably hinge it on the bottom, so it can rotate down for better access to spare. I will probably use diamond plate, though, and just make 1 plate.
