Goals of install:

- High sound quality (seems silly to state, but true nonetheless)
- Stealth
- No exterior rattles at high volume
- Retaining as much trunk space as possible (golf clubs a priority)
- Maintainability

Glad everything worked out for you. Sounds like you had a good time, and learned a thing or two. Now you will see the benefits, if anything ever goes wrong, you know where to look.

 

Love the install. How do the tweeters sound, pointed right at you? are they a little bright, or do the crossovers have a way to lower their output?

 

Yes, they were a bit bright, but the Focal crossovers allow adjustments of 0, -2, and -4db. I have set mine at -4 for now and use the HU to tune them further - either up or down - based on what I happen to be listening to. I am happy with the results and the soundstage is really good. I am glad the soundstage is good after the install because it is one of the things that stood out when comparing the K2Ps to other speakers.

 

Impressive!! I think Im just going to pay someone to install it. way too intimidating!
