Do you guys unplug the car battery when installing HU?

I never in the past with other cars.

Plus, do I need to do anything to save the code or SN when I unplug the stock headunit? I saw a code written inside the honda manual.

As long as you have the OEM HU security code written down then you're ok, as far as unplugging the battery i never do. Worst case scenario you blow out a fuse.
