Installing Components
I would like to upgrade to components but have no desire to spend the money that a professional installer will charge me.
Does anyone make a prefab mount that I could use? Other suggestions?
If there is not a good way of doing this myself then I am looking for suggestions to upgrade my in-door Infinity Reference series 6002i. They will be powered by a amp.

a new deck would be ideal for starters - tuning and cleaner signal feeds.
I prefer tweeters on the door panel HIGHER than the 02+ location which means mounting the tweeter pods on door metal.
The A piller is the safest in terms of if you mess up they dont cost too much. a top mounted pod would be easy to do.

I have a Kenwood deck with Sirius installed. What is a top mounted pod?
Are the A pillars easy to remove? Could someone with decent mechanical ability do a flush mount on the pillars?
Here is a thought how about offering pre-cut A pillars for component speakers that you can provide? This could be in addition to your rear pre-cut pieces.
