Hello, I am in the process of installing a JCV KD-R520 head unit and on my wiring harness there is not a place to splice the (brown-telephone muting) wire. I don't really care if the dash controls work but the first time I turned the player on it said Phone across the screen, i pressed forward to skip to the next track on the cd and it worked fine after that. should this be okay if I just tape off the wire and leave it unconnected to anything?

I just want to check before I take the player back out to solder all of the connections.
