Hi guys, Pioneer Deh p9800Bt Deck, and i want to hook up my iphone to it, not worried about charging just about playing the music. Will the Pioneer CD-IB100II work? If not, what will? Thanks again.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P600UB with iPod control via USB. Works fine both charging and playing my iPhone 3G. So i suspect any of the USB decks in the lineup will be just fine. Unfortunately I have no idea about the add-on for your deck.

 

Itll charge the old iphone, not the new one. I know i have it.

update firmware to apple 2.1 it will charge and play

 

I have 2.1 and it does not work. Remember this is the old ipod adapter, i am not sure about the new one.

 

I went with the DEH-P700BT instead; even though the 9800 has better converters and a nicer screen, you lose a few features with it and the online reviews I read say that the iPod compatibility is really bad with the 9800, whereas with the p600(0)/p700(0) it works really well.

 

I have the DEH-690UB and it will charge but won't recognize the iphone.
