Default Ipod with Alpine Mod Problem.

I like to leave my Ipod in my car and usually after I shut off the engine, within a few minutes, the ipod will turn off by itself. Apparently there are times when the Ipod doesn't turn back on when I start the car and it is because the ipod battery life is so drained that the unit can't even charge the Ipod.

DOes anybody else have this problem?

Yes I have the same problem I must press menu key really quickly. After I get the menu up I can plug it back in then it charges and plays...

No sure if this is a feature or a bug

Its a bug. The Ipod should turn off when the KCA adapter is off. Alpine stated it had a problem with this, so email them, and they will tell you what to do.

Thanks. Do you have alpine's email address by any chance? I can't seem to find it on their website.

I just called Alpine and they are blaming it on the Ipod. Does anybody know what the problem with the unit is?

This doesn't happen very often. Maybe 3-4 times a month.
