Ipod Connector
What you want is something like this:

the first one will keep the ipod link and give you an AUX rca (stereo) input. The second one is just an AUX input.

As I said, the sound sucks so I rarely use this connector. I only use it if I have to plug my powerbook and listen to podcasts, view some quicktime files or types of recordings that I can't transfer to my IPOD PHOTO. I take my pwoerbook with me to work, I don't make a habit of plugging in my powerbook in the car as it's a 15" inch, plus The S is not not known for it's cavernous cabin.
