I am no expert on the stock Clarion set-up, but it seems that nobody makes the proper data to rca out that would enable the connection with an ipod. until this converter is made for this set-up, my guess would be that you need a new HU to hook it up with an ipod (or any any other aux besides the clarion approved cd changer.)
IMO: bad for consumer / profitable for clarion = bad for product loyality
