OK boys and girls...

Number 3 died on me last night...

and ANOTHER ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

i may contact Optima, but i've already traded it in for a core exchange on a Walmart special... i needed a battery asap, and this one gave me NO warning at all... nothing left on, no recent unusual drains, etc. just dead. shows 12-13V, but even flicking on a light drains it to sub 10V ranges.

this one didn't even make it 7 months. POS.

Kenny - mind telling me how your conversation w/ Optima went? these things have caused me more grief than i'd like to comment on... if they gave you reasonable enough assistance, i may contact them... otherwise, i'll just resort to bad-mouthing them for the rest of my life.

Jeez....honestly, I think our best bet is to ALL write to them. If they see dozens of these things flying back, they may be more understanding in terms of credit. EVEN if you are out of warranty, you can still write. Just a thought....

That was mine too. It was also about seven months. It was absolutely perfect and then all of a sudden I was stranded at a meet with 300 people. Luckily, there were people there to help me pop start my car but I was 90 miles from home when it conked out... I'm hoping there's a new battery that will be compatible with our cars.

Mine's still going strong. Now that I mentioned it, it'll probably be dead tomorrow morning.
