Default JBL GTO638?

anybody try those out before?? I don't listen to lot of R&B or heavy base songs..

would this be a good choice for me?? i listen to alot of asian songs

I think you probably haven't gotten much of a response because these speakers are not incredibly popular. I am sure they would in fact be an upgrade from stock. Just about anything is an upgrade from the OE speakers in the S. Also if you are powering the speakers from the stock head unit there is not likely to be much of a difference.

For only a little bit more (Id check eBay) I would go for the Alpine Type R components. I am not a HUGE fan when it comes to Alpine full range speakers but these are actually really good value. They would also allow for you to add an amp later on. Good luck!

The 9886 is a great start. I owned that unit in my RSX-S at one point. I have the 9887 now and its very similar. However these units do not produce much power. I would consider an amplifier or the Alpine KTP-445 which will add about 50w RMS to each speaker and can be had for around $100 and easily installed. Hope this helps.
