I have an older version of the 17X pro series from alpine. I have them hooked up to a pioneer premier unit and powered by a jl g4500 amp. I also have a jl 10" in the back. Anyhow my system pumps and has great sound, the only issue is I get way too much high notes. I've tried every setting in the world and between my head unit, amp, and crossovers there are a lot of options. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Should I just give up on the speakers and get something else? These are supposed to be pretty decent speakers high end of normal consumers speakers. I don't want to spend crazy money on focals or something like that now. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this type of issue with these speakers?
