Is the 750/1 class D? I'm surprised a 750 watt amp, much less a class D amp, is causing a low voltage problem.

Please keep us posted as you learn more about this issue. I am planning to run more than 750 watts in my car off of an ordinary battery and the stock alternator. Electrical system upgrades are not in my budget, not yet at least!
it was probably may bad for installing the amp late yesterday evening and then trying it out at night with the lights and ac on (yeah yeah). I'm going to run around today with the ac off and no headlights and see if i get the same results. The instructions state the amp should not turn off under any conditions except low voltage (under 8.5 volts). So today I'm going to run a bigger wire to ground the battery and the amp and see if that fixes it before I go run out and buy expensive stuff.

Well it's definitely low voltage, all new wires are going in this weekend to replace all my power and grounds, see if that will stop it from dipping to low, if that doesn't fix it I'm going to go with a Kinetik 1400 battery, if that still doesn't fix it I'll be looking for a new alternator. I'll keep peeps posted on what fixes it. Put the JL ZR650's in the doors yesterday, still no amp on them, very nice sounding speakers.

Well I upgraded all the wires in the car to 4 gauge, and the amp doesn't cut off anymore, but it's left me with another problem. Now if I turn it up really loud and the car is just sitting at idle, it will throw CEL and put the ECU in safe mode. I don't have a OBDII reader so I'm not sure what the code is but it only happens when the bass is hitting really hard and the car is at idle so I would assume it was for voltage. Getting the Kinetic 1400 this weekend coming up to see if that fixes the new problem. This JL HD 750 amp is a beast.
