just finished amp, sub install
finnaly got around to throwin my old stuff in the S, heres the list in the car:
pioneer premier P960mp headunit
PPI 6 channel 6*50 amp
jl stealth box 10w3
i am actually really happy the way it turned out, and sounds really good considereing i am still using the stock front speakers, which is the next upgrade.

trunk is heavier to open, but still stays up on its own. so, all in all, i am very happy wiht the results.

looks awesome...but i thought amps were never supposed to be mounted upside down because of heating issues?

John - what would your opinion of a "weight" limit be for this mounting style? I have to JL, amps I'd like to mount in this manner, but ruled it out due to their weight, but after seeing that massive PPI, maybe it is possible.

Heat in Florida may be more of an issue than the heat in Mass.
It also really depends on the amp - some handle it ok and others do not. I have mounted a number JL slash amps upside down with no problem, some others did not work out so well (PPI being one of them).
Did not seem an issue in Arizona during winter, but the summer heat made them overheat (JL's were OK).
