anybody in here running a viper 5002 w/ a proximity sensor installed...just got mine installed ...

1st: the shock sensor is cranked all the up for sensitivity and yet, u have to hit the car pretty hard to get the chirp....

2nd: my motion detector is either too sensitive or nothing at all ..... sometimes when i set it to low....and i keep my car garage kept....middle of the night i would hear my car chirp but not go off ...its weird becuase its in the garage....but then again ...when i check it and come close to it ..it wouldn't chirp....its frustrated......is their anyone here having the same problem setting the motion sensor up ?

 

did you install the alarm yourself or have it done? i have the same alarm and having trouble with the door locks and getting the trunk lid to work with channel 2.

 

where do you have the proximity installed? and also where is your shock sensor located? and how did you install the shock sensor? adhesive? wire ties?

the sensor should be attached to a piece of metal that way if can absorb the shock from any impact, also it needs to be attached directly to the metal with an adhesive of some sort, that works the best.

the proximity does take some time to get right, it took me awhile to get mine working correctly, just be patient and keep working with the adjustments.

510 guy - How did you wire up your door locks? did you use the 451m 5 wire relay? or are you doing a 2 wire setup through the blank keyless ports?

 

nah i had fix...its all good..i brought it back to the shop...now it works like a champ
