Thanks for the info Phil. Yeah, I was going to probably get the JL 300/4 when my financial aid comes in. I can pick one up from an authorized eBay dealer for $200. What about a 5-channel? Any good ones out there that you like? JL makes one, but it is expensive as hell. What about Memphis or Phoenix Gold? Elemental Designs? Rockford (i know these are expensive too)? or Alpine? I like all those brands. (Never heard Phoenix Gold amps, but heard good things about them from other members). I was considering bass blockers for the S-pods, those are the ones that really freak out to high volume....must be the heavier ploycarbonate cones and the relatively small mag. size for the weight.
