great work. If we could package this up in a kit I think there would be a lot of owners out there interested.
while I love the driver focus of the S2KI, this is good. I lived in Japan, I didn’t know they offered a nav setup.
That's the idea, and why I bothered to make all pieces 3D printed. You can still get the OEM support "pocket", but to try to minimize additional shipping (the margins on this thing are very small), and make this as complete as possible, I had everything scanned. Additionally, that OEM stock will run out like the metal OEM metal support brackets. You can't get them anymore and HUGE thanks for the help I've had with them. Fortunally, the OEM hardware and fasteners are still available.

make sure you dont lock it into any specific display. leave a set opening and just have a gap that different adapters can fill or people can deal with in whatever way they want. don't want to be locked into a screen that some may not want or isn't available later.
I'm trying to tighten the area around the screen to fit closer. The first pic is the standard bezel (just mirrored for LHD cars). The second pic I've brought in the sides some. I think I still need to bring them in. Thoughts? I considered using a strip of dark foam to fill in the gap, but that feels a bit like a cheap hack. Sorry this is taking so long. I have to outsource the CAD work as I don't know how to do it.
Suggest design it so there are snap in border frames to accommodate different tablet devices.
A main, generic dash mount, without sides or border, but places for one to snap in place.
Then design the border frame for this device. Publish the snap in interface specs, let others design unique snap ins for other popular devices, as well as make your own snap ins.

Future proofing
future proof, nice.
anyone looking to package this up and sell? Modifry type?
anyone looking to take this on if there is enough group interest/pre-sales?
