Power lead on the amp, to the ground lead on the amp: 13.3v, 0 Ohms.

Remote Lead on the amp to the Ground lead on the amp .1mv 9.1k ohms (i'm assuming it's going through the deck to get that.

With the Car On:

Power Lead on the Amp to the Ground lead on the amp: 14.27 V, 0 ohms
Remote lead on the amp to ground lead on the amp, 14.05 V, 0 ohms.

Speaker wire unplugged, 4.2 ohms per cable.

what else?
disconnect all the speaker leads from the amp.
connect or hold the negative lead of the MM to ground screw on the amp.
measuring resistance, check each speaker lead w/ the positive lead of the MM. you should get infinite ohms in each case. if you've got a pinched or shorted speaker wire, you'll get some low ohm or 0 reading.

an amp driving a load straight to ground though -- that will cause you some grief and could short the amp out (thus burning it out).

has anyone ever seen that happen before? any suggestions on what amp to get to replace it? millionbuy is out of the 4220's. I need an amp to power a set of Kappa perfect 6.1's, and a 8" Punch HX2.

O.L that's good.

crap.

that would be it.

looks like a 140 ohm resistor as best i can tell... (colors are hard to tell though... what colors are the stripes?

hopefully they won't rape you for popping off a cover though...

I took the side cover off, no seals or anything to break, just 4 allen bolts. there was a yellow stripe, and a darke blue one i think? it's a light blue background on it...would this cause any damage to my speakers?
