Default Keyless Entry

Just bought a remote off the Ebay. However, the car refuses to recognise the remote. Tried programming as per instruction, and the car just doesn't ackonwlege the new remote.

This may be a long shot, but does anyone know if Singapore's car (I suspect JDM, or UK spec, there's no OBDII port on the car, and we drive on the same side as the Brits) remote transmit on different frequency? The only physical difference that I see on the remote is the additional "panic" button.

I am not sure if I have been sold a faulty remote, or the remotes are just not compatibile. The LED light on the remote does light up on pressing the remote.

The numbers on the back of the remote (FCC ID or whatever) have to match, otherwise it won't work. Mines is FCC ID = E4EG8DJ
