Posting regarding his services or electronics and wiring in general? If its the latter, chances are you were wrong and he was correcting you.

Just because he is not online does not mean that others will not stick up for him. Good job kicking a man while he is down. Classy... A-hole.

I am not saying that you do not know what you are doing, you are probably very knowledgable. However, this post shows very little class, especially considering you had nothing to do with these bad transactions, and are taking advantage of kicking a guy when you have no right to do so.

Grow up.

John
While I agree that Looneybomber's post has little to do with the situation involving John and other people's money, your response shows little class as well.

I'm just soured from my encounters with him. Was my post cheap? Yes. However, was a little poise expected on his part when learning new information? Yes. So, what goes around...

And no, it did not have to do with S2k wiring or his services. He surely knows more about that than I do and I wouldn't even attempt to correct him on those matters.

Ah. Sorry for jumping off at you... Kinda out of character for me.

I just HATE it when people just jump in and slam someone because they can. If you are going to bad mouth someone, do it to their face.

If you have an issue with him, start another thread on your particular issue, and people will chime in and either confirm that you were correct or they will confirm that Darkknight was correct. Either way, its a more direct way address your specific situation, and does not come off as much of a back-handed slap as your previous comment.

And just for the record, John has always (at least since I have been on here) been a controversial mod in the way he handled some of his advice, sometimes even coming off as condescending. Communication can be limited, and conclusions irrationally drawn due how bad communication can be when only posting on a web forum. Welcome to the internet!

A missunderstanding is likely the case, but I was never able to get everything fully worked out due to my thread being locked.

Just defending someone who is not here to defend themselves.
Darkknight has had ample opportunity to post here over the last few months......

^ hence my comment not here. I never said he was unable. Other things take precedent sometimes. But I do agree that a response is needed. No need for cheap shots.

Wow, three months and no word, no refunds, and no product from this guy whatsoever?

He's taken money from people. He has obligations. No matter what problems he's got at home, no matter what reason he's not online to defend himself, he should *make* the time to advise the people whose money he's holding what the status of their order is.

*Three months*. There's time in there to contact his customers, no matter what else is going on. "Hey everyone, sorry to say I accidentally lopped off my arms with a circular saw and I'm having a friend type this for me." Anything less is negligence. Unless he's in a coma somewhere and nobody else knows who to contact.

Sure, there are a lot of people who'll defend John verbally, but that still doesn't do anything to resolve the situation. "Kinetic has my money and hasn't shipped my items" "But he's really a good guy!" "Oh, Okay, I'm sorry. I'll check my mailbox again....nope, it still hasn't arrived."

Whether or not it counts as kicking him while he's down, I'm glad I spotted this thread so that I know before I'd have part with my money that it's not likely I'd get anything at all in return.

Figured i'd give everyone an update; I noticed that he was on Gmail today and got in touch with him. Conversation is as follows:

Will:
Hey, are you planning on resolving that S2ki problem?

Sent at 10:43 AM on Monday

John:
of course
I've just been on the road for work for like 4 months
only home a few days a month which is set aside for my daughter. I have a little time off this month because I'm moving and whatever is outstanding will be shipped out at that time.

Will:
I was just wondering because no one had posted an update to that thread in a while.

John:
I have all the product at my house and whatever needed to be built just I haven't been home to ship anything as my job has been out of control
I haven't had time
I've been working about 75-100 hours a week

Will:
okay, well, it may be a good idea to post this info in the thread.

John:
If I have time i will
Thanks for the heads up though Will

It didn't look like he "had time" to give you all an update so I suppose I can do it.

I know he was really busy with work, but not this bad. I know he does something in telecommunications, so I guess travel is expected...

Anyone else been able to contact him recently?

John
