Default At last, iPod hooked up

Finally broke down and bought an aftermarket HU. Pioneer DEH-P6700MP, along with the Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod interface. Works great, but is a little hard to learn how to use. I ran the cable for the iPod under the center console, and the iPod is held by the elastic band on the Glove Box cover. Very clean. The interface charges the iPod and the HU imitates the iPod operation. I now did to see if the Modifry DCI will work. I already miss the Dash Controls.

How it the speed of the Pioneer iPod interface? Others have complained about it being slow and also that it only shows 8 characters of the song title or artist name...

Speed is no problem. It does only show 8 or so characters, but that is not a problem for me. Learning how to use the radio has been the biggest problem, but that is just me.

I purchased the CD-IB100 last week (it should arrive today). I was hoping to attach my ipod in the same place you did yours.

Where did you mount the CD-IB100 box itself? Did you have to put that in the center console or did it mount somewhere else and have a long enough ipod cable to reach that spot?

Did you run the ipod cable under the carpeting?

got any pics of the install?

I installed the ipod adapter under the seat. You can see pics here.
