LCD screen question probaby for Macgyver
This is a little hard to explain, but I have a 7.2 inch LCD screen made for automobile use. I found a 15 inch bare screen on ebay and I am wondering if anyone knows if I can just plug the 15 inch bare screen into the connections from the 7.2 inch unit and have it work. Obviously it will not fit in the case, but I will fabricate something for that if this will work.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

do you know how much voltage the 15inch lcd is expecting? is it an LCD for a laptop? you need to get some idea of how much power the screen needs.
how were you planning to feed a signal to the LCD? does it take RCA composite video?

That depends on the type of connection between the sending unit and the screen. If it's NTSC (standard television) compatible, it's as simple as unplugging one and pluggin in the other. If it's a digital connection, such as that used for computers, then you have to worry about frame size (# of pixels), data stream format, etc.
In short, if it's NTSC, go for it. If not, you do NOT want to mess with the headache.
