Default LED Accent Lights

I made what I think is a cool, very subtle little mod this weekend, if I'm late to the party and many of you have already accomplished this then I pre-apologize.

I found some LED's at the auto parts store, pre-wired with resistor in-line and a holder. I had intended on putting together this same arrangement, but found these for about the same price as the parts would have cost me so... I mounted one on each side in the rear of the door handle pocket. My intention was to slightly illuminate the handle at night. As an added kinda cool benefit, my wife pointed out to me when we went to dinner after that her feet had a faint red glow and the pedals on the driver's side are now visible. I countersunk the LEDs so that they don't catch your eye from across the cabin, only the tiny glow is seen.

This isn't even something I think would show up in pictures, but is exactly what I was looking for. I "borrowed" the idea from the BMW 3 series we are about to buy.

Sure, I'll go find a dark spot tonight and see if I can get something to turn out and post them

Ok, I told you they might not turn out. Here's a black picture that if you look to the left of the dash you will see the light bouncing off the door handle, and down a little lower and to the right, you can see the light on one of the pedals.

Here is a shot in the day light of the LED:

I'm diggin' my little mod,

I like it. When I shut off the car in the garage at night everything goes pitch black and you have to grope for the handle.

Why didn't you use a white LED instead of red? You need to preserve your night vision?

I liked the subtle look of the Red in the Bimmer, hence the non-white, I would imagine it would be brighter with the white though.

Hmmmmm, I don't suppose you have compiled a list or site with all the mods you have available?

Subtle is the definitive word here and definitely the right approach IMO.
No need to have a bright light - just enough to zero in on the handle.
Me like!

At the moment the only thing I have for sale is the windscreen mod. The footwell lights are a logical stepping stone since most of the code used for them will be used in the instrument cluster upgrade (and they're more universal). As the product list increases in length I will start modifying my website to reflect more of a business look.
