I'm thinking of installing some lights in the footwell. Basically, I just want them to come on whenever I open the door, kind of like the dome light. And possible add a switch to turn them on whenever I want too, just like the dome lights. But I'm an electrical dummy, so I was hoping someone here could help, maybe offer some easy to follow step by step type instructions (a la lucid's rear speakers mod...now those were some serious "for dummies" instructions!).


The second thing I was thinking, was installing some lights inside the door handle are, to illuminate the door handle, very dimly though. I want them to come on whenever I turn on the headlights (or the first click, parking lights). I find people never know where the door handle is at night. Benz's have this feature and I think it is really cool.

Do a search for my handle and neon....I posted a circuit a while back to do the foot well lights. You can use the same circuit for the door handle lights and the headlights.
