Default Locations for amp?

I think I need to buy a second amp with 4 way/channel or more. The current amp I have is a 4 way but only connects to the rear speakers and sub. The front door speakers currently have no amp powering them (making them sound bad). What are some locations that I could mount an amp to power the front speakers? The current amp in the trunk already takes up a bit of space (minor but noticeable when cramming things in), the tool well has a sub, I'd like to keep my spare tire.

Would it fit under the passenger seat? or where would be some other locations that would hog up less space? Currently have infinity speakers / amp /sub (dont know if brand matching matters thuogh)

Thanks

^agreed

fit my focal amp above the fuel tank...great location
only issues that i see would be your amp being too tall as space is relatively small

Depending on the size of the amp, you may be able to go in through the softtop tray and install the amp next to the gas tank on the opposite side from the spare tire area.

There's an area back in there that's as tall as the spare tire area but hard to get to around the gas filler tube and gas tank.

Under the drivers seat. The height under the passenger seat is more limited and my PDX amp would not fit there.

My PDX 4.150 located under the driver seat

Oh the Arc Audio is a little pricey for me, same with the PDX. Are there any uhoh!nel amps that could go under either the passenger or driver seat under $200...or $300 if $200 isn't possible?

Well, I finally finished installing all my audio stuff last night, and it sounds great. I installed a RF power 87.5x2 amp under the driver's seat. It can't slide fully forward, but enough for myself and most people to be just fine. I ran 4 gauge to an 8 guage dist block installed behind the passenger seat, which will make adding a sub easy in the future (should I decide I want one).

Ran 14gauge speaker wire for the new polk components, and all in all fitting the speakers was a breeze. For the tweeter, I just used some wadded duct tape as a sort of "washer" to hold the tweeter in place vs. superglue. Holds nicely. I've turned off the internal amp in the HU, so the rear oem speakers are no longer used. It took me a while to do everything (as I was taking my time, and running cable everywhere took some time), but all in all was a pretty straightforward install.

Thanks everyone for your insight and info! I'm mildly disappointed that the ipod I just got can't be used as the control when plugged into the alpine 9887, but sure beats using the aux input!
