Hi Guys,

I've just bought a V reg S2000 & I love it .....except I'm having some problems with the locks.

Since I bought it, it either won't lock the passenger door or won't undo it with the key fob.

It also locked me out as the door was half shut with the keys in the ignition - had to break in!

Tonight it locked me out as the key fob stopped working entirely, I could get in with the key but of the course the alarm went off and the immobiliser wouldn't work! - presume this is a battery issue - had to walk home in the cold to get the spare keys!

I would be most grateful if you could tell me if the first two issues are a common feature or a fault and if the last one is just a case of a new battery for the key fob! [COLOR=blue]

First off I would check that the battery is not dead in the remote.

As for the door locking while the key is in the ignition - I did not think this was possible normally on Honda's. I have not tried it on my S but previous Honda's the only way to lock the door without the key was to hold the interior handle in the open possition and lock the door.

With the key in the ignition, you can't lock the door with the remote either. -

How were you able to lock the door with the key in the ignition????

I have put a new battery in the fob now, so I can get in it!

Although the other day I got locked in it! I couldn't open the door from the inside, so had to climb out the passager side, not easy in the s2000! Luckily I wasn't anywear public, but my brother & his girlfriend found it very funny!

Then it would only ope from the outside if you pulled the handle up at the same time as pressing the fob.

There is something seriously wrong with the locks, other times it works normally, opens, unlocks, but it never unlocks the passenger door with the remote.

I'm going to have to contact the dealer.
