I have a 2002 s2000 with a problem. The lock on the key fob won't lock the car or set the alarm. The unlock button works perfect. I have to keep locking the car with the key, which also locks the passenger door so I know the central locking works. Iv searched all over the Internet with no conclusion to what the problem might be. Any help would be much appreciated.

the remote might be partially broken for that button. The remote cracks open in half, you might want to take it apart and inspect the insides, easy to do.

 

i have opened it up, everything seems fine. all the solder joints are still intact. i have also changed the battery, still no change.
