looking for a 2 channel amp
If you are all going to have 3 year old conversations, then fine, Ill treat you like it.
Obviously I didnt use every amp company in existence. Everyone understands that I have either, used, installed, heard, etc....EVERY MAJOR CONSUMER BRAND you can get, and some not so major.
I have used Tru Copper, Helix, Brax, McIntosh, Audison, etc. I have used every brand you can buy online (JL, Rockford, etc).
If you are going to be a 4th grader and compare Tru/Brax amps to an Audiobahn, then what can I say?
I do have contacts in several manufacturer corporate branches, and do get some info here and there. You think I cant afford a better amp than I have? You think I cant stuff my trunk with $100,000 worth of stuff?
Like I said, From experience, Kicker is NOT a good brand, although people make it out to be. MTX is NOT a good brand, although people make it out to be. Audiobahns are nice, last long, run cool, sound nice, and are not expensive. Would I use them if I had a Mercedes S600 and wanted a high quality system, no I wouldnt. Not because they suck, but because that calls for higher quality components BECAUSE THE DIFFERENCE can be heard. Are the Audiobahns better for a convertible car with a loud motor and exaust, rather than Tru Technologies....yes, because the difference is that I have an extra $4000 in my pocket.
You are the kind of installer that rips people off by selling them something they dont need, and charging them an arm and a leg.
I never said Audiobahns are the best, nor did I say they are the only amps worth buying. I do however, talk only from experience, not some BS you read in the circuit city circular.
Fact of the matter is, and MANY NY members can vouch for me, my system sounds BETTER than many other systems with MUCH better componentry.....(people who come to the meets)

NFRs2000NYC, if u have heard almost every amp in existance, how would u compare the audiobahn A8001DT, to a Ballow Audio LK800.1?
i'm in need for an amp for my 2 12" audiobahn subs (the older high compression subs) but i have limited money to spend. I forgot how much the audiobahn goes for, but the Ballow Audio amp goes for about $750. you seem to know a lot about audiobahn and it would make sense for your opinion. thanks!

OMG this never stops does it. how have u ever even heard of ballow audio when ur looking for some generic amp like audiobahn. nevermind.
ballow is a very very nice amp. not a lot of people know about them, but i do know one person who has used it for his front stage. i never got to demo his setup but he is a very respectable guy when it comes to audio. so i dont doubt his taste in audio.
is there a reason y u would go with such a nice amp for ur subs?

hey atk kuk, does your store carry JL amps or ballow audio? if i can get the JL amp (500/1) cheaper than the ballow, i might just go for that.

ok atf. obviously u are not serious so i doubt i would trust u on your opinions. all u can do is rip on him because he prefers audiobahn over whatever u have. u even said so urself that u have not heard the Ballow Audio amp so what makes you think you are better than him?
again, i only asked NFs2000NYC because he HAS EXPERIENCE WITH Audiobahn amps. The audiobahn amp would match my audiobahn subs, but i'm not sure how it stacks up to the Ballow Audio because it seems as the Ballow amp are higher quality (maybe because of price tag?), then again, i have never used audiobahn amps before so I don't know. I only have audiobahn subs and so far, i love them.

GSteg can u do me a favor and read the line in my sig? thanks number one stunna
i think i might sell my ARC audio stuff and pick up some audiobahn. NFRs2000NYC says that anything else other than audiobahn is a waste a money unless of course u have a mercedes S600

Anyway, Ill respond to you, even though this troll thinks he is king of car audio. Ive never heard of Ballow. IF they are good, and are a step above regular market amps, then they have no reason to be in an s2000. You wont notice the difference, expept for your wallet.
Yes, I think Audiobahn IS A GOOD MIDLEVEL amp. Im not comparing it to Helix, Brax, etc. Im talking Rockford FOsgate, MTX, etc. THIS IS FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE!
Just an example. Ive recently been able to check out this amp....and it was VERY nice.
http://www.thezeb.com/p-Audiobahn-A1504DP-...fier-108459.htm
Im not saying buy it, just Im telling you it WAS a nice amp. It sounded clear, powered subs VERY well, and didnt produce a lot of heat.
Soundstream is also good, as well as Alphasonik, and Phoenix Gold (although the XENON line kind of limits power options)
There are MANY good brands out there, but not for an s2000. S2000 needs good, clean (relatively, not concert hall quality) sound, and POWER!
Alpine is nice, the new Infinity amps arent bad at all....choices are a plenty.
I dont preach and try to sell audiobahn. If you read my threads, I recommend items THAT I WOULD PUT INTO MY OWN CAR. I will not recommend something I wouldnt use myself.
The customer service I got with Audiobahn, Alphasonik, and Soundstream is incredible. Dont get me started on Kirks ARC audio stuff. Their customer service is horrendous. They act like they are doing you a favor.
So again, Ive never heard Ballow, so I cant comment on them, but I can comment on thigs that I have used. Best of luck in whatever you decide.
