Looking for advice on amp power requirements

i would bet the BA components are rated at 3ohms because they expect you to pair them with a BA amp. the GT series amps are stable to 1-ohm stereo or 2-ohm bridged.
In that case, the speakers would not get the entire rated wattage, as the impediance is higher than the stability point on the amp. Similar to running a 4-ohm sub on a Class D amp...it will work, but will not get all the wattage advertised out of the amp.

jwa, do you have a link to the sub enclosures you're refereing too? I've tried every combination of terms I can think of to search for and all I'm getting are Lucids and WLaurents enclosures.

I may just bite the proverbial bullet and buy the new Eclipse EA4000 to drive the sub and components. That way I only have to deal with mounting one amp.

the search on this site is impossible for me to use....computer always freezes . Check in the Gallery forum....I think I saw it in there.
