I'm looking into getting an alarm system that will trigger when someone reaches or throws something inside my car when my car is parked with the top down. I've heard some unpleasant stories from people I know with convertibles of crap being tossed inside the car.

Get a viper or clifford alarm... Then u can add proximity sensor, the bad thing is sometimes there tempermental and get annoying... Especially if it rains hard.

 

You can add proximity sensors to most alarms, but I think DEI makes the good one (if I'm not mistaken). It's just an add-on sensor.

Lots of people love the Compustar alarms, I thoroughly enjoyed the one I had on my old car because it was cool and had decent range on teh 2 way paging and control.
