Looking for simple stereo system setup
when i'm driving that fast i just want to hear some music, not bass from two little speakers
J/K. I know what you mean....that is my setup for now, and why I invested in S-pods, just to be audible at highway speeds. They take about 20-45 minutes to install (depending on experience and wire connection technique (solder vs. crimp)). I recommend reverse mounting the speakers, as some will contact the cover if mounted normally. No biggie, though. Mark does not recommend splitting the roll hoops to hide the wires anymore (apparently they break REALLY easy and are pretty expensive to replace). he does provide you with "wire concealers" that are like little tubes that are either black or red (your choice) that run from S-pods to the little air vent. Its all of like 2-3"....so its not really visible to begin with. I would imagine you could just as easily drill a 1/4" hole in the top of the roll hoop trim to just drop it in there, if you are anal about it, and dont really care about a tiny little hole (I will be doing this when I change the speakers out for Alphasonik components).
