Looking for speakers with good mid bass
Hi
Just recently got my s2000 and the previous was idiot and replaced the stock speaker with something that sounds worse than stock no bass at all and the clarity is bad (worse bit is he made a awful hole in the speaker area to mount the tweeter.) I know how stock sounds because my friends s2000 is running stock speakers and im looking for something with bit of mid range bass as most of us enjoys it. I been reading that Polk MM6501 is the choice of most people here and the mid bass on those polks excel and im just a average audio guy that my knows the basic. My cars running amp already (Some chinese brand. . . will replace in future)Im just wondering if there any other speakers out there that will fit my requirements better? I would love to hear some opinions on this as i can't get clear answers searching the forums and on google. Any replies will be appreciated.
thanks in advance

To be honest, the best improvement in midbass isn't going to come from the speakers, but in sealing up and sound deadening the doors. I had the OEM speakers on my AP2 connected to an Alpine head unit, and they always sounded flat. Once I deadened and sealed the big holes in the door panels, the midbass had DRAMATICALLY improved. I ended up leaving it like that for a while until I could shop around some more for a component system. If you have an AP1, I could recommend the same action, but you might need some more careful selection of coax speakers down the road.
