ive got no help for you, just a free bump.

i am curious why your moving it. my guess would so you could mount a VAFC kind of unit in its place. other than that, id have no idea.

i have a single din mount for 3 gauges. at first i was against the whole idea of moving the radio, but i spent some time thinking about it. the screen itself doesn't exactly give me much information, so i'm going for it.

i think i've figure it out, sort of. i took a good hard look at the OEM harness and i see some subtle differences - mainly no rear speaker wiring (obviously) and a couple of extra connections that are not connected to anything...

i'm going to yank the rear speaker wiring that came with my harnesses and move the pins to the extra locations, and see how that works. i am not anticipating any issues, it's just hot and sticky in the garage and i'm out of wire to extend my harness with!

that'll be cool. anything special the guages are for?

i feel your pain with the weather and all. i spent 11 hours yersterday in arkansas heat and humidty (raining a good part of the day) installing my sub, amps, speakers, and head unit. job was a bit tougher than i thought, but the result is nice, and will be freakin awesome once i get rid of my alternater whine.

TelosHedge -
as you've discovered, there are two wires (dash switch and mute) that
are not in most aftermarket adapter harnesses. Moving unused wires/pins
will work fine - here's a site that includes a list of pin positions:

Can I ask why you didn't mount your gauges on the a-piller? Or a different place rather than relocate the radio?
