Opinions on my plans
I'm about to start doing some upgrading to the existing setup in my '04 and wanted to see if there were any specific recommendations that made more sense then what I'm planning. My objective is to get the sound stage up front, add some rear fill using whatever I can in my lucid panels, and some slight depth by implementing a small 8" sub.
Currently the car has a Pioneer 8600MP deck, XM setup, and ipod adapter control. I have from my previous system all necessary RCA's, power, group, and speaker wire as well as RF Power 800.4 amp. I plan to replace the front OEM setup with the Momo 6 1/2 component series from Polk (MMC6500). I'm also planning to add a 8" sub that will run fine in a sealed enclosure that will take some solid power. I'd also like to replace the existing lucid speakers as they're some cheap-o Pioneers. I'm not sure what model but the receipt the guy before me had said they were somewhere around $60.
So.... the plan is
Pioneer DEH8600MP HU
Pioneer XM adpater
Pioneer iPod adpater
Polk Audio 6 1/2" front components
Solid replacement rear speakers (mainly for top down fill)
8" sub that can handle 200-300w RMS
Rockford Fosgate Power 800.4 amp
The fronts would be run off the amp getting a solid 100+w RMS (@ 4Ohms), the rears off the Pioneer HU, and the sub off the bridge rear channel of the amp (200-300w RMS @ 4Ohms).
Opinions, suggestions, input?
Thanks in advance

Ok how about some referrals to what will fit in the rear when using the lucid panels? I know that the diameter of the magnets are the show stopper but you dont see that as a listed spec for the most part. Anyone know of a list of speakers that will fit there? I'm looking for decent coaxials that have a decent efficiency since they would be powered from the HU.
