Default Make me some 6.5 rings for the doors?

I'll be willing to pay someone to make these for me. I saw somewhere on this forum once of a person that made some great ones out of MDF that fit the door holes perfectly and you could even use the regular screw slots in the door. I bought some from HiFi Buys that are plastic, but they actually kind of suck. Since the door is molded slightly in a bent shape, the plastic ones don't sit flush with the door. Plus, jamming screws into the door and then unscrewing them sucks. The self tapping screws I used just don't seem to hold after I unscrew them and try to screw them back in. I'm looking for a more professional approach.

You could always modify your stock baskets.

No, that won't work because the baskets won't fit flush around the JL Audio 6.5 metal basket on the speaker...

Does that make sense? Forgive my non technical speak. However, this was the original thought, but when I actually went to do it, I realized that the metal "basket" (the part attached to the magnet that then cover the underside of the speaker) is way too wide to slip into an altered basket in the s2k. Custom rings are definitely needed.

Try Lucid Automotive--they make aluminum speaker adapter plates specifically for the front door speakers of the S2000

Cool, I'm going to get the Lucid ones. Did anyone have to get the extra spacers?
