Default Maximum operating temperature for MRV-F345?

Hello All,

Today was the longest amount of time I have spent in the car with the system on at low/moderate volume; about 2-3 hours. I have an MRV-F345 powering some Bostons in the doors (75w x 2) and an Audiobahn sub in the trunk (300w x 1). At random times with the system on, I heard a short tone coming from the right side of the car. I couldn't track it down. I turned the radio off, a/c off, no tone. a/c on, no tone. Radio back on, I began to hear the tone again. I checked the amp; it was running at about 165 degrees fahrenheit. What is the normal range of temps for amps to run in this configuration?

The amp display did not indicate any warning conditions, and did not shut down. Does it have an audible tone when there is a temp warning?

For anyone who searches this thread in the future, the amp will go into "hot" mode at 80* C or 175* F. It did today... can anyone reccomend ways to keep the amp cooler? It's not being covered by anything, it's mounted like this:

How hot was it outside? Also, where did you get the 165 degree figure?

It was 90+ outside, mostly sunny... the amp has a digital display that displays temp (in F or C), volts, error conditions, etc.
