Mobile Video..new idea
They finally completely finished up everything today (i brought it back in for some touch ups)...anyways, overall i'm pretty pleased with it! The only difference from yours (besides the components) are that the entire bezel was done in vynal to match the dash and it is set just about an inch lower than yours... the quality of the work turned out to be pretty good!.. a few minor flaws but overall looks nice.

Kind of overkill for a pasenger to get video.
My solution? I bring my sony vaio laptop with its 15 inch monitor and built in dvd into the car, plug it into the lighter, put it on my girlfriend's lap, and let her watch her videos while we are on long trips. Cost me absolutely nothing to install and requiers no cameras, plus I get the added advantage of keeping my rear view mirror

Sorry for being away so long!!.. I've been in Chicago and actually stopped by Rockford, Ill. to see a fellow S2K owner... i don't have pics yet sorry, i need to use my friend's digital camera but will get them in a day or so... I drove the S to Chicago and Milwaukee from Missouri (about a 9 hour trip).. my girlfriend loved being able to watch movies (although she fell asleep anyways
In total i had spent $1400 for everything, not $2,000 and although you guys had some good ideas... I don't own a labtop and don't have much use for one so that would likely be as much as, if not more than my set up...
the only flaws in the install were that the vinal directly above the screen is a little wavy and needs to be "touched up" to be perfect, nothing major...plus, i think once i have that taken care of in the future (by another shop).. i'm going to get the screen angled just a bit as I think it will help slightly with visability and clarity of picture.... anyways, i will get pics..i promise!! In the meantime i need to get some Lucid rear speakers, a center channel speaker and a sub for full dolby 5.1 effect

p.s. i was really surprised how much you could fit in the trunk!!
