Mobile Video..new idea
If you have never had video in a vehicle before I cant tell you what you are missing. I own a stereo shop in north dakota and its the rage. We do probably two to three video systems a week. I have video in the dash and in the headrests in my suburban and I love it. If I ever bought another one I would do it in a sec. One thing that might interest you is a rearview mirror piece that I use to pull a trailer. It has a 2.8 in monitor in it and is no bigger than the factory piece. This piece is made by secureview and retail for about $500 or else you can look at the units at savv.com. I have looked at there pieces and they look to be pretty nice. Thanks
Hey Draco, as I was reading your post about replacing the mirror with a screen I kept saying to myself "why doesn't he just get an indash?" Well, it looks like that's what you did, so I think you made a wise choice
I'd like to see some pics as well! In the meantime, here's a pic of the Alpine system I added to my CR-V (sorry, it's a camcorder still so the res of the pic sucks, but you get the idea). I've got it hooked up to an Alpine DVD changer under the driver's seat. This system differs from most other units I looked at in that it doesn't have an indash dvd slot, you have to use it with a changer. It's great for playing music videos or concert DVDs. Anyway, enjoy your new toy.
