Default Modifry DCI Auto Volume Feature

I just purchased the Modifry DCI and hooked up the auto volume adjustment wire. But, I seem to have some problems...

1. I cannot change between the 2 programmable settings. Holding down the Mode button and pressing Channel does not do anything. Am I doing it wrong?

2. Volume fluctuates without (or minimal) speed change. For example, I'll be cruising with the speedometer reading 80mph. The volume will fluctuate up and down without the speedometer changing it's reading!

My setup:
- Stock 2006 S2000
- Alpine CDA-9857 headunit
- Modifry DCI

Any help is greatly appreciated.

something doesn't sound quite right...

can you verify what wire do you have it connected to?

I just disconnected my speed sensitive volume control today. I found it annoying, esp. when trying to select something on the ipod, and the volume would change, forcing me back to square one. I like the DCI much better w/o it!

honestly, i've never hooked mine up. everything in the S is pretty much non-assisted. it seemed to be best in keeping with the theme of the car.

#1. Problem solved. I left the Tap and Press functionality on, and I think that affected the way I was programming it. After several tries, I was able to program 2 different settings and select them with the Mode + Ch buttons.

#2. I haven't retested the fluctuating volume problem. Right now, I have it programmed to 0 (no volume change) and 4 (change at 21mph?). I think it was previously set at 6 when I had the problem. I haven't had much time to drive but will retest.

As far as the installation, I hooked it up to the wire that was noted in the instructions.

For future versions of the DCI, I think it would be nice to program the first volume change. In my opinion, 15mph is too early.

Thanks for all the replies!
