Default Modifry IR DCI

ive been looking into a new headunit and i want to run the modifry DCI. the question is, with the IR one can you use your dash controls with the radio door closed or does it ahve to be open?

I just hate the way the car looks with the radio door open

Should work even better with the door closed as there would be no interfering light hitting the IR sensor.

The IR LED in usually mounted inside the door above the HU pointing downwards. So in this case, the door closed would only help the reception. The only time I think the door would interfere is if you mount the IR outside the the radio area like in the center console or something, but other than that, I think your good
