Thumbs up Modifry Wire DCI with Sony GT630UI problem

Hi All

I've purchase a Modifry Sony DCI Wired control to work with a brand new Sony CDX-GT630UI. I've installed with your adaptor and have the SVC lead connected and it was working beautifully (for about 2 weeks) until this morning. This morning as I was driving to work and listening to radio and I notice the DCI Volume control up now causes the radio to seek station down. and the DCI Volume control up cause the volume to go up. As you know that I have the SVC function enable so as my vehicle speed increase, it will change my radio station. and as I slow down, It will turn up the volume. I immediately pull off to the side of the road. Stop the car, shut the ignition, reset my head unit, and it still did the same. so I ended up drove to work without my music

Had anyone experience this? Is this an indication of something broken? Is there an reset on the Module? Pleasae advice.

Thanks

Johnny

i thnk ur okay,

my dci acts up sometimes too, its kinda wierd. so far i have had it stop working while driving and repeat songs randomly. i am thinking about shutting down the scv, its kinda annoying when you are searching through your ipod while driving and the volume cancels your search and you have to start over.

btw i have alpine x200 with wired dci.

but 98% my dci works fine. turning your car off and on usually fixes everything...

Hi Trainwreck

I did pull over the the side of the road and turn the key off an on this morning but it still did it. Then when I arrived work this morning, at the parking lot, I stop and start the car several times and it still did it. I am not sure if this will go away after the car's been "sit" a while. Guess I'll find out tonight when I go home. I send an email to Bob @ Modifry.com this morning and hope he may have some answers. could it be problem with the module? or the HU is going bad??? tonight I am going to take the HU out again to see if anything came loose.

Just went out to the car during lunch hour and tested the DCI is still not working Volume up (DCI) = station seek down, Volume Down (DCI) = volume up. CH key change display between clock and the radio station. Man, this is crazy!!!!!!!. Guess I will have to just listen the engine roar on the way home today. Still waiting for Bob's reply on email...

Last Friday night, I finally took everything out and double checked all the connection. All is good. I removed the SCV cable just to see and the DCI is still acting up. I also ensure the 3.5mm jack connected to remote control in the HU is all the way in and tight according to Modifry's troubleshooting website. Now I am frustrated... Finally I took the Aftermarket HU, Modifry's DCI out and replaced with the stock HU and tried the dash control and it is working perfectly. I send a couple emails to Bob but still has not get a reply yet. Any advice???

What finally happened? I'm interested in the Sony CDX-GT630UI and hooking it up with the Sony Modifry DCI. If this is what happens then it would definitely affect my buying decision.
