More annoying advertisements
Guys, just use Firefox and install the free AdBlock extension. Block the scripts that write the ads and they vanish forever. For Google's ads you just block:
http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/ (for now)
or *.googlesyndication.* (for the whole domain)
I'm a lifetime gold member so I don't see any new ads but I'm sure any ad system can be blocked with wildcards (the alternative is that every client webserver use server-side script and database calls back to the adservers to generate the ad code for every page they serve -- that ain't gonna happen, too much unneeded overhead).

flitcroft...
thanks for the suggestion, but by choice (and by deliberate purpose), i don't choose to become a member. it's not a $20 thing, but is instead a matter of personal principle...
so, believe it or not, i am actually choosing the advertising route, therefore i accept that advertisements are a requirement. when they get too annoying (and they are definitely getting there), i will pay to have them removed. until then -- i live with them and use them when appropriate.
taking note of my Miata effort and the Miata related results, which Incubus has kindly chosen to support...
we are now 5 of 9 for Miata advertisements for the non-sponsor areas on this page with 2 for s u p e r c h a r g e r s and 2 for S 2 0 0 0. thus, my evil Miata efforts to convert this entire page to Miata advertisement is slowly but steadily working.

John? are you going to get me in trouble for my evil Miata madness?
