MP3 Head Unit Recommendations?
Pitt,
Not necessary, but probably advisable. Have seen lots of other posts where the speakers were upgraded, with no amp. The sound is obviously better, but you can't beat good clean power with good speakers. 45 watts per channel is nice, but...
Did you upgrade speakers yet?

ps I bought my amp on this board from someone who waas upgrading, himself. It was a very positive experience. I don't deal online much. This guy was great, and even sent me his old wiring and fittings afterward.

ROADSTIR - I upgraded my speakers last year as a temporary solution (Polk EXs). I am still not satisfied. I would like to start from scratch this year and try to learn from everyone else's experience(s). What type of amp did you buy online?
Like ROADSTIR, I am also waiting for the Alpine CDA-7878 to come out. It looks awesome on paper! checkout www.alpine1.com.
Later,
Later,
i recommend either the kenwood z878 with dot matrix display its a badass mp3 deck or the new alpine 7875 800 bux but well worth it for alpines bass plus engine and if you ever want to get the alpine indash moniter
