Count me in, too. I would be connecting it to a computer, to play MP3's and DVD's both.

Any updates on progress? Or is this great potential product on hold indefinitely?

I'm UP, Just got my Ipod and was going to do the Aux Input method with a flush mounted IPOD in the glove compartment as well. But if the OEM stereo had support, I am up for that. Let me know Lucid.

Ok, Went ahead and dropped the extra bucks on the Alpine 7995 so I have Aux Input for the IPOD, but now the question is mounting. Anyone try to take off the Glove Compartment cover. It seems like a mystery to me, I want to mount it there while hardwiring into the Cigarette lighter power.

Anyone???
Anyone?
Bueller?

I did a hardwired AUX input (to Sony HU) to the console. I'll post pictures soon. It's not too hard to take the console piece out. The Helm manual really helps.

I also bought a cigarette lighter/FireWire power adapter, and was going to hardwire it in there too, but the cable it uses is really stiff and doesn't coil up well, so I decided to skip that for now.

you can get some of the first generation MP3 head units on ebay pretty cheap. That will give you better sound and the ability to play MP3s.
