I got this for xmas and I've only tried it out 2 times but it seems to work pretty good, especially for the price. I use it with my tablet and fabbed my own mount, so I basically have a removable 12" touch screen navi system. I've used S&T (w/o GPS) before so I was familiar with that and was ok with it. I only use it for directions to multiple points, so I like the routing feature. I don't use the Attractions at all.

The GPS unit seems to be pretty accruate (albeit I have very limited use so far) eventhough it's not the latest design. The only complaint I have so far is that the voice is too low so it's almost impossible to hear, especially with the radio on at any appreciable level. It updates only once per second on the map so it's a bit slow, but it doesn't bother me much.

I used a similar system with my laptop...it was from earthmate and it worked well, so I assume this would as well.

I also used a great laptop mount in my van that I purchased from a company called Tessco. I have also used this one... http://www.ram-mount.com/laptopcomp.htm
