After installing the PAC mod and the mute button control, whenever I hit the mute button, I could hear the relay clicking, but the sound would not be changed. After a few times of doing this, the mute button seems to be locked in the "On" position. (The green light is on). Since it did not work to begin with, the is still sound at least. Any ideas on how to fix this? I already tried disconnectin the mute lead to the relay. No luck.

Thanks

One thing to careful of when installing the PAC mod with relay, is the coil current used by the relay. Some 12V relays have coil resistances of less than 100 ohms. A 100 ohm coil would try to draw 120 ma from the mute circuit when switched on. I wouldn't doubt that could burn out the circuit. I would recommend a coil resistance of greater than 800 ohms. That would draw 15 ma or less which is probably fine. The relay switching current isn't important since the the mute inputs on car radios draw little current.
