My custom sub box
Hey guys, felt like sharing a custom sub enclosure my brother and I have been working on for the past couple of months. We had lots of fun and it was good bonding time. I think it turned out pretty good considering we've never done this type of stuff before. We had a mentor who kinda made sure we didn't make any fatal errors but were pretty much left on our own.
Specs:
Alpine 9857
Rockford Components
Rockford 4 ch 450 W amp (spare tire well)
dB 8" subwoofer (probably going to swap out for a JL 8")
Overall the sound is pretty good with the top up, but little soft with the top down. Going to build a diffuser to come up over the sub to give the sub something to bounce air off of.
Feedback welcome!

with the top down the bass is a little washed out, but you can still feel it from the seat shaking. I hope the diffuser will help by giving the sound something to reflect off of. It will probably be the same shape as the opening, but hover around 1.5-2 inches above the speaker. Oh and it will probably be made of carbon fiber :-)
