Default my JL w0 broke............

i don't know how to describe this but it looks like my centre piece of my jl sub is detatched partially from my sub.... so it vibrates and makes a farting sound, the guy at my stereo shop said it can not be fixed.. i inquired about a W3 replacement but he said my box is to small and to go with a nother JL W0..... is there any other sub suggestions u guys have for a small space.... i wonder if he was lying to me about fixing my sub... it looks like the centre piece can be glued back..... thanks for ur help

If the center dust cap with the jl logo is starting to seperate you should be able to fix it with "shoe goo". If you have a bad voice coil thats rubbing the pole piece or making noise then your s.o.l. If you had good sounding bass with a w0, a w3 will sound just fine in your same box. Both require about .75 cubic feet if I remember right. I have a single 10w3 in my s with just a small premade box and it sounds great. Its about .70 cubic feet I belive.

Although bobby is right, its nearly impossible to do it.

99.99% of the time, farting sounds from a sub means torn beyond repair.

Dont bothing fixing it, because a long high bass not will rip it right off. Youll never get it as strong as stock anyway.

I suggest you get a sub with either a metal or kevlar cone.
