it seems like u all have good experiences from the x50 but personally i am not impressed with the x50. I did a side by side comparison with another cheapo radar detector that cost around 30$ max and they both falsed exactly the same, although i could not find any cops using radar during my test when i used the x50 alone it seems the range is SHORT! the only time the ka or k goes on is when i can already see the cop... ive gotten 2 tickets before so i dont speed but i got the detector just so i know... but maybe i got a lemon x50 or something but the range seems to be horribly short compared to the supposed 10-12 mile range it had a radar test website. Now given seattle isnt a flat out desert it should still give me an alert around a mile or too if i can see the cop plainly it means im in range for a ticket so WTF!!! i am actually pretty disaapointed wit the x50.. do radar detectors have lemons? or defects often? it falses just as much as a 30$ cheapo and ranges doesnt seem to be too much better... should i try to get an exchange or am i expecting to much for 300$!!!! It does detect cops... but has crap range... maybe i just havent had a good experience withj it yet on the freeway with a cop shooting radar... but ive had the x50 for +1months and do alot of local highway and freeway driving. And the Pop and laser is ANNOYING gonna give me a heartattack...

is it possible for me to get a replacement/exchange sort of thing because i am not satisfied?

do radar detectors have defects/lemons like cars? Or how would i know if i had a defect or not?

i dont know but for 300$ i just expected more... maybe ill try the v1 later..
